Earthship Comes to Gallatin, TN!!


In this show, meet Marcus Sisk, who is designing an "Earthship", a type of ultra-innovative and ultra-sustainable, off-grid housing design developed by Michael Reynolds, aka "The Garbage Warrior" (documentary of same name highly recommended), who developed these astonishing and highly durable structures as a response to the need for a dramatic reduction of "external" inputs (e.g., energy, water, food, etc.) by creating or capturing and re-using these resources on-site, as well as creative and functional diversion of valuable materials such as tires, bottles and cans from the waste-stream to be used as building materials. Great information for those interested in learning more about these combined technologies!!
