China is dealing with what can only be classed as a major disaster today after two massive explosions occurred in the northern port city of Tianjin, which has a population of over 15 million people. A warehouse used for storing chemicals and highly volatile materials, is thought to be the source of the explosions. The first of two major blasts rocked the city and local residents yesterday in the early hours of the morning with the explosion thought to be the equivalent of detonating 3 metric tons (3,000kg) of TNT. However, it was the second blast that did the most damage. It has been rated as the same as detonating 21 metric tons (21,000kg) of TNT. So far it is thought 44 people have died including 12 firefighters, while 520 further people have been hospitalized. http://bit.ly/1fabo7J http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ This video was produced by Wochit using http://wochit.com
