Testing a simple new "U" auto-siphon design in a 7.5 gallon water tank. The device is made from 1" PVC pipe and fittings, which includes two "T" pieces and two 45-degree elbows. The auto-siphon does not require a bell housing or an air hose to function. The siphon is broken when the water drains down to the bottom of the fill pipe. See my other video showing the auto-siphon working with expanded clay gravel at... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OSnDscPM7E. The auto-siphon drains the tank much faster when filled with grow media since there is much less water volume to drain.
