You'll Never Guess What Ants Can Be Used For


When it comes to tree crops, ants are an effective, safe, and cost-saving way to control pests. Bye bye pesticide? Though we’re used to exterminating ants in our homes, ironically, ants themselves are extremely good exterminators for other insects that invade their homes. As revealed in a review published this week in the Journal of Applied Ecology, tree-borne ants are so effective at defending orchards that in many cases, they can be used as a cost-effective alternative to chemical pesticides.
