El Chapo Injured But Escapes Capture Again


According to the Mexican government, notorious Mexican drug lord Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán managed to evade attempts by the Mexican military to capture him, but was injured in the process. His escape caused a major PR headache for the Mexican government and highlighted the corruption plaguing the country in its dealings with the drug cartels. In recent days, the Mexican military has barreled through a series of villages in the states of Sinaloa and Durango trying to re-capture Guzmán.
