Secretary of State John Kerry on Saturday urged global leaders to agree to an “ambitious” deal at a climate conference in Paris in December, as global warming was the biggest threat to global food security. In a speech to the Milan Expo, Kerry argued that unrest tied to climate change-induced agricultural failure poses an international threat. Kerry explained that extreme weather patterns – with 19 of the 20 warmest years on record occurring in the past two decades – meant the world must act now, and in a co-ordinated way. The Secretary of State said the migrant crisis in Europe--caused by Syrians and Africans fleeing conflict--would pale in comparison to the mass migration that intense drought, rising sea levels and other symptoms of climate change were likely to bring. http://bit.ly/1QFhCtK http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ This video was produced by Wochit using http://wochit.com
