My Son is Autistic and I'm Not Trying to Cure Him (And here's why)


When we found out our son was autistic, our first reaction was that we were going to figure out how to cure him.. But as we went down this road, we came to realize autism wasn't what I thought it was and decided that 'cure' was not going to be our goal. Here is our story. If you are wondering what kind of ASD he has, it is somewhere between Aspergers and PDD-NOS, with executive function impairment they call ADHD and an expressive language learning disability.
