SpaceX Will Try to Land a Rocket Stage on Earth


SpaceX is planning to launch an upgraded Falcon 9 rocket on Sunday. It's the company's first since another unmanned Falcon 9 disintegrated above Florida earlier this year. The private spaceflight company will also attempt to land the first stage of its rocket back on land in Cape Canaveral, Florida. SpaceX founder Elon Musk hinted at this in an update about the mission Saturday, but confirmation of the landing attempt didn't come until a full statement was released later in the day.
