US Budget: 2,200 Pages, $1.8 Trillion, Middle of the Night


In the middle of the night, Congress released more than 2,200 pages of legislation. The bill contains over $1.1 trillion in spending, about $680 billion worth of tax cuts and a host of policy changes. Big winners in this bill include fossil fuels and alternative energy producers. After decades under a crude oil export ban, fossil fuels breathe a sigh of relief. Similarly, Congress extended tax breaks for wind and solar energy.
