South Korea's defense ministry said on Thursday that the Democratic People's Republic of Korea or DPRK fired several short-range projectiles into its eastern waters. The move came after UN Security Council adopted a resolution on Wednesday to impose new and tougher sanctions on Pyongyang, in order to curb the its nuclear and missile programs. And the South Korean military maintained defense readiness while closely monitoring the moves of DPRK forces.
