Cannabis Coalition Meeting West

Cannabis Coalition meeting 04/02/2016 at On the Border, OKC The petition drive is expected to kick off in early May and will be announced by Joe Dorman. This will give us the summer until early August to collect enough signatures. Meetings are expected to go to one a week, beginning the week of April 12th, alternating between East and West Oklahoma, and are expected to be primarily training sessions for signature collectors. It is expected that only trained people will be collecting signatures. It was noted that petitions have to be notarized before being turned in and a copy of the petition must be available when signatures are collected. Due to previous problems with businesses promising much and delivering little, there are fewer businesses being invited to participate in this round. Billboards are currently projected only for Tulsa. OKC billboards are possible depending on financing and availability. For those worried about being targeted if they become a patient, the security is reported to be tight and there will be no master list of patient names and addresses that could be accessed.
