White House Delaying FOIA Process

The Cause of Action Institute, a conservative watchdog group, filed a lawsuit against the White House, claiming that the Obama administration is illegally obstructing Freedom of Information Act requests by putting records through lengthy review processes by White House lawyers. The suit claims that The White House is using a 2009 memo from then-White House Counsel Greg Craig, to delay the release of potentially sensitive or embarrassing unclassified or declassified files.
