CDC says Puerto Rico faces rapid Zika expansion

On Friday, the Centers for Disease Control announced that the Zika virus is spreading fast through Puerto Rico. The spread of the virus places hundreds of pregnant women at risk for delivering babies with the devastating birth defect known as microcephaly. CDC Director Tom Frieden reported that the Center had been using the most accurate method available to track Zika levels: blood testing done during blood donations.
