Kurdish and Arab Fighters Corner ISIS Near Turkish Border

After one week of combat, a U.S.-backed coalition of Kurdish and Arab fighters has almost completely encircled a ISIS stronghold in the Syrian city of Manbij next to the Turkish border. The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces are backed on the ground by U.S. and French special forces who are advising and coordinating with local fighters and calling in coalition airstrikes. Shervan Kobani, a Kurdish fighter, says that that the so-called Islamic State group is on its last legs in Manbij, adding, "ISIS cannot resist us, and blow themselves up near civilians when we reach them.
