Job growth numbers fell drastically in the month of May, with the U.S. economy creating fewer jobs than it has in more than five years. According to the Labor Department, payrolled jobs only increased by 38,000 -- the smallest increase since September 2010. After the release of this data, U.S. stock index futures dropped as the prices for U.S. government debt rose. The dollar is currently trading lower than a large amount of currencies worldwide. Economists had forecast job growth to reach 164,000 new jobs, but they were way off the mark. This is due in part to the Verizon workers strike which accounts for 72,000 jobs. Since the workers were on strike in May they were not included in payrolls, so June may see a boost in numbers. http://bit.ly/1TSSpls http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
