'White Lives Matter' Protests After Police Kill Young White Man

At a vigil Sunday night for Dylan Noble, the 19-year-old's friends took to the streets carrying a Confederate flag and "White Lives Matter" signs. Dylan Noble was killed while officers in Fresno were investigating reports of a “man walking in the area with a rifle” and pulled over a pick-up truck that was speeding. Noble allegedly refused to show his hands to the officers and advanced towards them with one hand concealed behind his back. According to the officers, they believed Noble was armed and fired four shots at him. The young man did not have a weapon on him or in his vehicle. Noble's friends say that the “white lives matter” signs were a way to acknowledge that his death deserves the same outrage the public has shown for police killings of young black men. One of his friends said, “I guarantee if an African American guy got shot, it would’ve blown up.
