Castile's Family Releases Proof Of Gun Permit

Following Philando Castile’s death at the hands of police last week, many have questioned whether Castile had a permit to carry a gun. Doubts on the matter have now been laid to rest. Castile’s family released a copy of his gun permit to CBS Minnesota. It’s dated June 4, 2015 by Hennepin County, Minnesota. CBS noted that since the permit was issued by Hennepin County, it was not considered a public record. Since his shooting, Castile’s family has upheld that he legally acquired a concealed carry permit from the state.
