Former soldier Chelsea Manning was hospitalized Tuesday after what officials believe was a suicide attempt. Manning is serving a 35-year prison sentence for violating the Espionage Act. She was convicted in July of 2013, and a month later announced that she would live the rest of her life as a woman. According to CNN, who cited U.S. Army spokesman Colonel Patrick Seiber, Manning was taken to the hospital in the early hours.
