Protests After Louisiana Officer Fatally Shoots Suspect

37-year-old Alton Sterling, an african-american man, was killed Tuesday night by police officers in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Sterling was shot and killed in front of a connivence store following a dispute. The murder of the husband and father has prompted hundreds of the cities residents to protest where Sterling life was taken. The Advocate reported the crowd that gathered late Tuesday afternoon at the store where Sterling died grew to more than 200 people.
