According to a poll by POLITICO, 52% of Republican insiders feel the upcoming RNC convention in Cleveland will be mostly peaceful. Most said law-enforcement personnel would have things under control, and the shootings in Dallas last week that killed five police officers would temper any kind of violent protests. According to one Colorado Republican, “I am in Cleveland as I write this... Could there be some violence? Sure. But the protesters I've seen (and interacted with) are paid. They have been flown here by organizations looking to foment unrest.
