Zika Virus Can Now Spread Through Sexual Intercourse

Zika has become even more of a dangerous threat as the first case of the virus spreading sexually has been reported. A woman visited a Zika infested region and on her return to NYC had vaginal intercourse with a male partner who was not wearing a condom. Only three days later, after developing symptoms such as a fever and rash, doctors detected the Zika virus in both of the patient's blood and urine.
