On Friday the Army Corps of Engineers said it plans to close the area of land where hundreds of people are camping in opposition to the Dakota Access oil pipeline. Col. John Henderson wrote in a letter to Dave Archambault, chairman of the Standing Rock Sioux, that as of Dec. 5, any members of the public on the land north of the Cannonball River will be considered trespassers and could face charges. The lands mentioned includes the Oceti Sakowin camp where hundreds of protesters are. Henderson wrote, “This decision is necessary to protect the general public from the violent confrontations between protestors and law enforcement officials that have occurred in this area, and to prevent death, illness, or serious injury to inhabitants of encampments due to the harsh North Dakota winter conditions." http://bzfd.it/2fCaO6n http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
