A former governor of Arizona is encouraging Donald Trump's administration to keep a portion of the Affordable Care Act around. Former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer stated in an interview with the Associated Press, they she is lobbying Trump's administration to look at her state because it is a model of cost-effectiveness for insuring the low-income population. Former governor Brewer added she does not want to see a group of nearly 400,000 Arizonans to go without health through Medicaid insurance.
