Meet Merl

Merl Childs is currently homeless and living at the Salvation Army in Oklahoma City. Merl's passion is making beautiful woodwork out of discarded materials that he finds around town. He has been trying for 3 years to get his work into an art show, and with the help of The Curbside Chronicle his dream is finally a reality. He calls his work Unseen Promises and plans to open his own vending cart on the BrickTown Canal this summer. Financially, Merl is working towards saving up enough money to get out of the shelter system and into his own place. Please come meet Merl and support all of his hard work. Merl will be at the May Fair Arts Festival at Andrews Park in Norman, Oklahoma: --May 4th 9am - 8pm --May 5th 11am - 5pm
