The CIA Tried to Assassinate Fidel Castro Around 634 Times



Former Cuban leader Fidel Castro passed away on Friday November 25 in Satiago de Cuba Province, Cuba. Castro was known as a tyrant to many and his socialist policies did not make for good U.S. relations. Castro's former secret service chief has said that the late political leader survived about 634 assassination attempts from the U.S. CIA. The attempts to kill Fidel Castro ranged from an exploding cigar, lethal poison pills, planning to contaminate his diving suit, and a poisonous pen, amongst several other attempts.
