GOP To Overhaul Medicaid



With the election of Donald Trump and a majority republican congress, conservatives are preparing to make significant changes to Medicaid. According to the associated press, Republican lawmakers intend to send a fixed amount if money to states to cover medicaid costs, not pay a percentage of total costs which is the current norm. Republicans feel that states have little incentive to minimize healthcare costs because they cover only a fraction of the expenses.
