Iraqi forces have launched a fresh offensive against Daesh terrorists in the northern city of Mosul following a nearly one-month hiatus. Interior Ministry officials say the troops managed to make gains at the onset of the operation which resumed in several southeastern districts. The major operation was stalled for about a month as those involved went through an operational refit. Iraqi troops have already freed one quarter of Mosul. They’re now trying to drive terrorists completely out of Mosul which would mark the fall of Daesh in Iraq. Mosul fell to the terrorist organization in 2014.
