On Saturday, An early-morning fire destroyed a mosque in Victoria, Texas. Victoria Fire Marshal Tom Legler requested assistance from the Texas Fire Marshal's Office and federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to determine what initiated the fire. Islamic center president Shahid Hashmi said authorities told him it was too early to speculate what could have caused the blaze. He stated, "We don't have any lead or information as to what started the fire and what happened.
