It looks like Donald Trump may have already made an egregious over-reach in his executive power, if a 1965 law has anything to say about it. The executive order signed by Trump to prohibit the entry of immigrants from Iraq, Syria, Iran, Lybia, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen claims to gain its power from a 1952 law which says the president can "suspend the entry" of "any class of aliens." However, Donald and his team have ignored the 1965 amendment to that law which states that no person can be "discriminated against in the issuance of an immigrant visa because of the person’s race, sex, nationality, place of birth or place of residence." Trump's team is sure to argue the difference between "the issuance of a visa" and entry into the country, but denying one entry into the country effectively is denying one a visa. The courts last cited, and amended, the law in a 1996 case in which some Vietnamese who had fled to Hong Kong sought immigration visas in the United States. http://bit.ly/2jC1FwF http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ This video was produced by YT Wochit Vote It using http://wochit.com
