Parliament speaker Ali Larijani stated that the US' "violent racist spirit is hidden under the pretext of democracy and human rights," in condemnation against the President Donald Trump's recent executive orders on banning immigration from some Muslim-majority nations including Iran, in Tehran, on Sunday. During the open session he stressed, "A country that claims to have the greatest security power, does not make such decisions with anxiety and panic." He added that that the reasoning of fear of terror attack was a joke stating, "It is evident that Iran has stood alone against terrorists in recent years."
