The Iraqi army is fighting Daesh terrorists inside the Mosul University campus for a second day, as government forces are pressing ahead to purge the Takfiris from the eastern half of the city. An Iraqi army official says the forces have cleared several departments, and the university is expected to be fully liberated shortly. Iraqi forces have also discovered chemicals used by terrorists to make weapons. The United Nations has previously warned that the terrorists have seized the university's nuclear materials used for research, after the Takfiris captured Mosul in 2014. Earlier in the day, the Iraqi army also recaptured the Yarimjah neighborhood in South-east Mosul. The strategic city is divided by the Tigris River. Control of the river's eastern bank will be crucial in launching attacks on Daesh, that holds all the districts west of the river.
