Israeli rockets hit Syrian military airport #okc #news #wth



Syria has warned Israel to expect repercussions for the flagrant attack on a military airport near the capital Damascus. In a statement the Syrian army says rockets from northern Israel hit the compound of Mezzah military airport, southeast of Damascus. Reports say the rockets have hit an ammunition depot. Video footage shows several major explosions. The statement added that the attack by Israel was meant to assist terrorist groups in their fight against the government. The airport is a major strategic airbase used mainly by Syria's republican guards. During the course of Syria’s fight against terrorism, Israeli bombers have regularly violated the country’s airspace. Tel Aviv has also conducted a number of airstrikes inside Syria.
