Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the measure is an attempt to prolong the harm already done to Washington-Moscow ties. The bill was put forward by three American senators following a call by Democratic members of the U-S Congress for the formation of an independent panel to probe alleged Russian hacking. Meanwhile, the Kremlin also slammed US sanctions announced on Monday on several Russian officials linked to the 2006 alleged murder of ex-Russian spy Alexander Litvinenko. The Kremlin spokesman described the move as a fresh step towards degradation of relations between the two countries. Litvinenko died in London in 2006 after he was allegedly poisoned by polonium-laced tea.
