Expedition 50 Commander Shane Kimbrough and Flight Engineer Peggy Whitson of NASA are set to leave the International Space Station (ISS) for the crew’s first spacewalk of the year on Friday, January 6. The two spacewalkers will assemble adapter plates and install electrical connections for six new lithium-ion batteries.
