Hundreds of protesters marched through Mexico City and shut down a petrol station on Sunday, to protest against a planned 20 percent rise in fuel prices. Protesters marched from Mexico City's Independence Monument chanting "thieves, thieves" as they reached Mexico's Senate of the Republic and National Palace, before demonstrating at and temporarily shutting down a local patrol station. Protesters carried signs reading "Out Pena" against Mexican President Pena Nieto and "Let's paralyse the country, pay nothing" and "Of course there was another solution, lower the wages of politicians."
