Controversy has sparked in Russia. Government officials are moving towards passing legislations that decriminalizes domestic violence. They have a passed a bill that has been nicknamed the “slapping law.” The bill makes a first time assault that does not seriously hurt someone, an administrative offense and not a criminal offense. The bill would cover Russians of all ages, children included.
