Tel Aviv cuts $6mn in UN funding #okc #news #wth



The cutback is the first retaliatory measure by Israel to show its discontent with the resolution that requires Israel to stop building settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories. The Israeli ambassador to the U-N Danny Danon says it is unreasonable for Israel to fund bodies that operate against it. Israel annually contributes 40 million dollars to the United Nations. The announcement comes a day after the U-S House of Representatives unanimously condemned the U-N resolution and criticized President Barak Obama for refusing to veto the resolution.
