Iraqi forces wage psychological war with jihadist corpses #okc #news #wth



According to local reports from Mosul, Iraqi forces are purposefully leaving behind the bodies of dead insurgents as the fight to rid the Islamic State from the northern city continues. Along a main street, corpses of dead militants have rotted in the streets for weeks. Although the desiccated bodies present a health risk for passersby, bomb-belts worn by fallen fights can still explode as well. One soldier stated they will leave the dead terrorists where they lie, as a clear message to keep Iraqis from supporting the group, also known as Daesh.
