Russia’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Vitaly Churkin passed away in New York City on Monday, February 20, with the Russian Foreign Ministry confirming the veteran diplomat’s death. Mourners are expected to pay tribute to Churkin outside the Russian Foreign Ministry in Moscow, honouring the Russian diplomat who had served as Ambassador to the UN since 2006.
