US fails to disclose 1000s of aerial raids #okc #news #wth



A Military Times investigation has found significant inaccuracies in the Pentagon statistics on attacks in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. It says the U-S military figures lack more than 450 airstrikes, including drone attacks it carried out in Afghanistan alone in 2016. The report says the enormous data gap raises serious doubts about the U-S claims of progress in its fight against terrorism as well as its disclosures from costs to casualties. It has cited a U-S military official as saying that the Pentagon doesn’t track the number of strikes from Apache helicopters. Washington carries out drone attacks in several Muslim countries under the pretext of targeting militants. But many of the victims have turned out to be civilians.
