軍, 대북 경계태세 강화 유지…"北 특이동향 없어" The South Korean military is closely monitoring North Korea for any signs of military activity north of the border. A South Korean military official says that heightened surveillance at the border will remain in place on Saturday after it was raised on Friday following the Constitutional Court's decision to remove Park Geun-hye from the top office. No unusual activity has been detected north of the border, but officials are concerned Pyongyang could launch a provocation to try and manipulate the sensitive political situation in the South. Acting president Hwang Kyo-ahn said at an emergency meeting of the National Security Council on Friday that South Korea should remain on a high state of defense readiness.
