Saudi jets kill 27 in western Yemen, mainly civilians #okc #news #wth



A Saudi airstrike on Yemen has claimed more civilian lives. At least 27 people, mainly civilians, have been killed in an airstrike on a market in Khoukha. The airstrike in the western province of Hudaydah also left dozens of civilians injured. Saudi Arabia has come under intense criticism for targeting civilians in its nearly two years of aggression on Yemen. International rights bodies have also blasted Riyadh for the use of banned munitions including cluster bombs in its air raids. Saudi Arabia says it has stopped using such munitions. But Amnesty International has rejected the claim, saying Saudis’ latest use of the bombs happened on Thursday. Reports say cluster munitions were also used in Friday airstrikes on Sana’a. More than 12-thousand people, many of them civilians, have so far lost their lives in Saudi airstrikes on Yemen.
