Iran refuses to abide by JCPOA after Soleimani killing
After the United States assassinated Iranian Quds Force General Qassem Soleimani, it announced it was preparing 3,000 US troops to head to the Middle East. Iran threatened retaliation for the assassination and announced it would no longer abide by any terms of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the 2015 Iran nuclear deal.
