Afghanistan: Tear gas and fire hoses used to try and disperse people from outside Kabul airport
Tear gas and fire hoses have been used on the crowds outside Kabul airport in an attempt to disperse people. Videos from the ground in Afghanistan showed tear gas canisters being deployed near the crowds which have been trying to escape the country. A separate clip showed a group of armed men using a fire hose on people outside the airport. The footage comes as Western leaders have warned that time is running out to complete the evacuations from Afghanistan before the Taliban retake control of the airport. There have also been threats of an imminent terrorist attack in the area.
