Biden says Afghanistan exit marks end of US nation-building



President Joe Biden has stood by his decision to pull American troops out, ending 20-years of the US being in Afghanistan. In a televised speech, a day after the evacuation ended, he praised military's airlifting of more than 120,000 people who wanted to escape the Taliban's rule. But Biden has faced criticism for not anticipating how quickly the Taliban would take over. About 1,200 Americans have yet to be flown to safety.
