State Of Illinois Is Looking At A $8 billion Deficit

On Thursday, the Associate Press obtained a report that shows Illinois will fall $8 billion short in its state budget despite an emergency budget agreement that was reached last month. Governor Rauner has approved the budget, but it was reviewed by the Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability. Illinois State Republican Rep. David McSweeney asked for the financial report. According to their report, there are $3 billion in appropriations that were not covered in the emergency budget that Democrats agreed to last month.
