Ukraine summons Israeli ambassador to Kiev



Ukraine has fired back at Israel for its decision to postpone a planned visit by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman to Tel Aviv over an anti-settlement resolution in the UN. Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry summoned the Israeli ambassador to clarify Tel Aviv’s cancellation of Groysman’s trip. The Israeli move came in reaction to the adoption of a UN Security Council resolution on Friday which calls for an end to Israeli settlement building on occupied Palestinian territories. Ukraine voted in favor of the resolution. Tel Aviv also summoned ambassadors from several Security Council members including Ukraine to protest against the measure.
