Pennsylvania state officals will close two state prisons by June 30 to help offset a projected $600 million revenue shortfall in this year's budget. Corrections officials said the affected employees, who will number between 800 and 1,100 depending on which prisons are picked, will be offered jobs at one of the 24 remaining prisons in the system. He said the candidates for potential closure had been narrowed to five correctional institutions from all over the state. The department will also cut in half the capacity of its halfway houses. http://bit.ly/2jd8thv http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
