The Red Cross has announced a blood shortage in the US. According to UPI, the blood bank reported a slump in volunteer blood donations, leaving medical centers strapped for blood infusions this winter. In the United States, the Red Cross is responsible for about 40 percent of the blood supply. Over 35,000 less donors have been reported this fall because of bad weather which cancelled many blood drives. The organization is asking volunteers to donate both blood and platlets, a key factor in human blood clotting. http://bit.ly/2hYZTqo http://bit.ly/1fJ5yqZ This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
