Russian sappers from the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces continued bomb disposal operations in eastern Aleppo on Monday. Footage shows sappers in action and also gives a glimpse inside buildings previously held by militant opposition. Barrel bombs and parcels with labels reading "Saudi Arabia Kingdom of Humanity, Emergency Relief Aid for the Needy", were among the objects found inside the properties. Elimination Squad Commander Roman Pudovkin reported that dozens of barrel bombs were found during the operation, along with "more than hundred shells in total with explosive yield of more than five hundred kilograms." Speaking from a building that is thought to be a headquarters for an illegal armed group, one sapper said "Traditionally, health centres were located inside the headquarters. Here we are in a medical station. Partially medicines were taken away by militants and locals. There were a lot of medications, they [militants] stocked for a long time." On Sunday, Russia's Defence Ministry reported that a total of 24 truce violations took place across a number of Syrian provinces, including in Latakia, Hama, Idlib, Homs and several others. The squad of the International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces arrived at the Hmeymim airbase in Latakia on December 3, 2016. The group reportedly includes specialists who previously took part in mine clearance operations in the Syrian city of Palmyra. SOT, Roman Pudovkin, Elimination Squad Commander (Russian): "While searching the area for dangerous objects, the so-called barrel bombs' position was discovered in a warehouse, along with more than hundred shells in total with explosive yield of more than five hundred kilograms. Also, this position was mined with a hand-made tilt target sensor." SOT, Sapper, International Mine Action Centre of the Russian Armed Forces (Russian): "This building was a headquarters for one of the illegal armed groups. Traditionally, health centres were located inside the headquarters. Here we are in a medical station. Partially medicines were taken away by militants and locals. There were a lot of medications, they [militants] stocked for a long time."
